We are Flux Yoga
A studio built on the belief that yoga should feel like coming home – warm, honest, and deeply personal.
Our story
Flux Yoga opened in the fall of 2021 at 245 East 124th Street, in the heart of East Harlem. Founders Mira and Julian had spent years teaching in large corporate gyms and wanted to create a space that felt smaller, warmer, and entirely dedicated to the student's inner experience.
The studio occupies a former print shop that we renovated by hand. Original brick walls sit alongside bamboo flooring and infrared heating panels – a blend of old New York character and modern comfort. We keep class sizes small (maximum 16 students) so every teacher knows your name, your injuries, and your progress.
Our programming spans three distinct styles – hot yoga, slow flow, and restoration – because we believe that a balanced practice includes effort, mindfulness, and rest. There are no mirrors in the studio. No competition. Just you, your breath, and a community that supports you.
Our teaching team
Every Flux teacher holds a minimum 500‑hour certification and brings a unique voice to the room. We are alignment nerds, breathwork enthusiasts, and firm believers that yoga is for every body.
Mira Chen
Co‑Founder · Hot Yoga & Slow Flow
E‑RYT 500 with a background in dance and anatomy. Mira's classes are rigorous yet lyrical, with an emphasis on intelligent sequencing and breath‑driven transitions.
Julian Reyes

Trained in restorative yoga and yoga nidra at the Himalayan Institute. Julian brings a calm, grounding presence to the studio and leads our teacher mentorship program.
Aisha Patel
